Easy with a s...It sucked....ha ha sorry but it did. Easy with a steamer but MESSY!! Definitely rent a steamer it's worth every penny! Then remove excess glue with Diff. I got a bottle at Benjamin Moore. Then I would suggest sanding the walls with a palm sander ( I didn't but should have). Finally you need a good primer made to go over wall paper glue. I don't remember the name of what I used but I also got it at BM.
